Aemon Targaryen

This is a Pam DeMuth 1/9th scale Purmer Arabian stallion resin.

Beginning model: [link] - scratch Pam DeMuth Purmer Resin that had been painted be he kept falling and scratcing so I decided to redo him.

He was stripped of paint and sanded down. He has a new sculpted mane/tail/forelock and sculpted feathering on his legs. He has added wings that are resin cast by Kathleen Moody and a cast resin horn by Tammy Abbey. The wings I put on with keypoxt sculpt - which I used to create a base layer and his mane/tail/etc. Horn was drilled into head.

He is airbrushed starting with red primer base over the white primer, then black and then pearlizing paint.

Sealed in Matte spray finish sealer.

And named after a character in one of my favorite books. Aemon Targaryen was in George RR Martin's A Song of Ice & Fire series. He was the last of an ancient royal line but for one young girl (his great niece I believe) and he was a man of the Night's Watch - the Guardians. I thought it fitting for my Pegacorn.<p>
